This is a short Sunday afternoon (hopefully outdoor) workshop for the absolute DIY beginner.

You will learn how to use a handsaw, how to make a straight cut, how to measure and plan your project, how to choose the right timber, how to use a power drill, how to use an impact driver (and the difference between the two), how to use different drill bits, how to choose the right screws, how to countersink holes and how to plug holes and how to sand down raw wood using hand vs. electric sander.

And finally, how to have a cup of tea and a biscuit on your finished garden bench. Although you won’t need my help for this bit. 🙂

We will only be building one bench and one of the particpants will get to take home the bench we built. We will either do a prize draw at the end or I will do a DIY quiz with you to determine who gets to take the bench home.

Refund policy: I try to keep all my workshops to no more than 4 particpants, so that everyone gets the most out of them that they possibly can. All prices are created under the assumption that the respective workshop is fully booked. Occasionally, people are forced to cancel on the day, due to illness or higher forces. While I will still run the workshop with 3 people on the day, as it isn’t fair cancel on everyone, please understand that I will only be able to refund 50% of the fee, if a cancellation is made within 24 hours or less before the workshop. This is because at such short notice I won’t be able to fill your empty spot and as a small business this leaves me vulnerable. A full refund can be given, if you yourself find a replacement participant.
